Welcome to our website

We believe that for social partner-dancing, there is no requirement for a vast array of complex moves which need to be committed to memory.
We prefer to use and promote a small toolkit of techniques where the focus is not on moves, but on connected movement, lead primarily through invitation and response.
We have found that this more readily allows for a more relaxed dance style that can be creatively adapted to the music.
We teach mainly in the East Midlands and Cambridgeshire areas, where we run evening, full-day, full-weekend and one-to-one classes and workshops.
Our classes, workshops and events enable dancers to develop their connection and musicality skills and to grow as confident and creative dancers.
From a variety of dance genres, we have drawn together methods for smooth, connected dancing and interwoven them with natural movement and simple timing techniques.

It is this preference for more natural movements rather than memorised sequences that has driven us to experiment with different forms of lead and follow techniques. We don’t consider this to be a new style of dancing, but rather a fusion of the more subtle elements of other dance styles that can be accentuated according to the tempo and feel of the music.

And of course, music is key to providing the framework upon which to build creativity.
Sometimes this is through movement articulation and extension, or it can be through the use of simple and understated footwork.
We don’t disguise our personal preferences for chilled, low-tempo lyrical music and funky tracks, but the connection style and movements that we teach can be employed across all popular music genres.
We currently run our main dance events and classes in Hemingford Abbots and St. Ives, Cambridgeshire - but we also teach in a variety of other locations around the UK. If you would like us to organise a workshop, class or dance event near you please contact us to discuss this.

This fabulous hall in beautiful picturesque surroundings is where hold our weekend dance workshop events.
Light and spacious, with full kitchen and patio area, this venue is ideal to dance, learn, eat and drink together.
Workshop sessions take place through Saturday and Sunday, with a chill-out, bluesy and expressive freestyle on Saturday evenings.

We use The Cromwell Suite at this 18th century coaching inn to run evening workshops and Sunday afternoon dance events - which are usually free to attend.
This small venue creates an intimate and friendly environment to socialise and dance to our chilled and lyrical playlists.
We usually run our Thursday Club here on the first Thursday of each month - see our Facebook page for details.
